Angruin Chain Mail +1

Angruin (Steelheart in common) chain mail is made from a flexible wood as strong as the best metal alloys and sung from the Angruin trees of the summer elves. If the armor normally imposes disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks or has a Strength requirement, the Angruin version of the armor doesn't.

Angruin Sung Wood is rare and requires a master bard with skills in crafting items from wood and of armor or weapons and who has attuned to the tree. Heartwood color can range from a pale green to a warm cedar to a golden brown and can vary depending on the age of the item and the type of Angruin tree. Angruin armor retains the essence of the living wood and will adjust to fit the wearer. The armor maintains its strength although its owner should care for it by allowing the wood to bath in the sun and rubbing natural oils into it. 

Angruin armor is rare and not often found outside of summer elven enclaves. It is considered a gift of great value. Finally, Angruin wood is easily enchanted by arcane or divine methods.

Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
