A horrifying amalgamation of numerous magical items and artifacts. A shifting blade dipped in the blood of a metallic dragon and Far Realm aberration, tied together by the blessing of an eldritch deity. It has the following properties:
Shifting Form: As a free action, Amalgam transforms into a mundane object of the user's choice. If this is a weapon, it has a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls. No matter the transformation, Amalgam's aesthetics are that of fibrous tendons of black ooze, red eyes, and bloody red branches.
Draconic Soul: Born of draconic fury, Amalgam can harness and direct this energy through its attacks. Once on each of the user's turns when in the form of a weapon, Amalgam deals an extra 1d6 damage. If the user is below half their maximum hitpoints, the extra damage increases to 2d6. This damage can be acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison.
Envoy of Chaos: Born of aberrant blood, Amalgam signals the doom of those it strikes. Amalgam has 5 charges, and it regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. A charge can be expended while in weapon form on a successful attack roll, rolling for an effect off the Wand of Wonder's effect table. This is centered on the target, and any DCs are 17.
Sentience: Born of eldritch blessing, Amalgam is a sentient chaotic neutral artifact with an Intelligence of 9, a Wisdom of 9, and a Charisma of 19. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Deep Speech, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically in their primary language. Its speech is awkward and monotone. Additionally, Amalgam can expend a charge from Envoy of Chaos at will, whether or not the user has made an attack roll with it.
Personality: Recently born into the Material Plane, Amalgam knows little to nothing about the world around it. It is curious by nature, although its true purpose is to cause senseless chaos across the Material Plane. By understanding the order of things, it can more properly cause the world to plunge into disorder.
Notes: Damage, Utility, Combat, Sentient
