Weapon (longbow), rare (requires attunement)

An intricately-carved greatbow, its magic derived from the souls of its quarries. Names and inscriptions cover every available surface. It has the following properties:

Greatbow: Alfheim is a modified longbow with a 200/800ft range, dealing 4d4 piercing damage.. Its heavy frame grants it the finesse property, while also causing attack rolls against a target within 20ft to have disadvantage*. It requires specialized arrows, which have double the cost and weight.

*Features that remove close-range disadvantage also negate this property.

Magical Nature: Alfheim is a magical weapon that doubles as a spellcasting focus. It has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and spellcasters gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and spell save DC while used. Once per round, the weapon can be fired without ammunition, generating a spectral arrow that halves the target’s speed until the start of the user’s next turn.

Alfheim Flurry: Alfheim has 2 charges. Once per round, it can regain an expended charge when used to slay a creature, siphoning a portion of their soul. A charge can be expended as an action, choosing a point within the weapon’s short range. You can make an attack with Alfheim against each creature within 5ft of this point as long as you have the ammunition to do so.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
