You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When you hit an attack with this magic sword, the target takes an extra 1d6 cold damage.  In addition, while you hold the sword, you have resistance to fire damage.

In freezing temperatures, the blade sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.  When you draw this weapon, you can extinguish all non-magical flames within 30 feet of you. This power can be used no more than once per hour.

Supernatural Awareness.  While you are holding this weapon, it alerts you to the location of any secret or concealed doors within 30 feet of you.  In addition, you can use an action to cast detect evil and good or detect magic from the weapon.  Once you cast either spell, you can’t cast it from the weapon again until after a short rest.

Extraordinary Power.  While you are holding this weapon, you can use an action to cast the levitate spell on yourself at will.

Sentience.  Argentum is a sentient lawful good weapon with an Intelligence of 16, a Wisdom of 11, and a Charisma of 17.  It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 60 feet.

The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Draconic, Dwarvish, Giant, and Ignan.  It shouts battle cries in Dwarvish when used in combat.

Personality.  Argentum’s purpose is to slaughter azer, fire giants, red dragons, and salamanders.  It also seeks to protect dwarves against all enemies. Conflict arises if the wielder fails to act upon either purpose.  Argentum will also not allow you to attune with or possess any magic item that produces flame.

Argentum was crafted by the Dourhand clan of dwarves in the southern ranges of the Hellfurnaces Mountains during the end of the Age of Dragons.  For many centuries it was wielded by the king of the Dourhands. It’s secret shame was that when the king of the Dourhands confronted an ancient red dragon named, Firkraag, he did not prevail and was eaten, along with a majority of his clan.  Argentum was kept as a captive and trophy in the dragon’s lair for many centuries.

Detrimental Property.  When you are attuned to Argentum, you always feel like the temperature is too warm unless you are in freezing conditions.  If someone feels your body temperature, you feel as cold as a corpse to that person.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
