Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by an Artificer)

This item began life as a simple Bag of Tricks, but it has been extensively modified with gearwork, metallic threading, and arcano-mechanical enhancements. The bag's cloth is now reinforced with stitched sigils and brass-rimmed grommets. A rotating dial on the drawstring ring and a series of faintly humming glyphs suggest this is no longer a home for beasts, but something far more engineered.

When you reach into the bag and activate its mechanism (a twist, click, and spark), a small, spherical device ejects from within — a self-assembling construct that deploys and activates instantly.

As an action, you can summon a random mechanical creature by rolling a d8 on the table below. The construct appears in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. It is friendly to you and your companions and acts on your initiative. You can issue telepathic commands to it as a bonus action while it remains within 300 feet.

The construct disappears after 10 minutes, when it drops to 0 hit points, or when you use the dispenser again.

You can use the bag twice per long rest.
