Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement)

This suit of enchanted plate shifts between two forms: Worn and Active. While worn, the Animus Armour functions as follows:

Worn Form:

  • Armor Class: 18 + your Dexterity modifier (maximum of +2)

  • Type: Heavy Armour (does not impose disadvantage on Stealth)

  • Damage Resistance: Nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing

  • Might of the Animus (requires proficiency in heavy armour): Your Strength score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20.

  • Arcane Conductor (requires the Spellcasting feature): You gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and your spell save DC increases by 1.

Active Form: Animus Avatar

As an action, you may speak the command word to cause the armour to animate and separate from your body, forming the Animus Avatar, a magical construct that fights alongside you. The avatar persists for up to 1 minute, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. While active, you are no longer wearing the armour and lose its passive benefits.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Immunity: Critical Hits, Combat, Warding, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
