While wearing this armor, the wearer is able to use its Lay on Hands feature as a Bonus Action

Additionally, the paladin can target a creature with its Lay on Hands feature in melee range and make an unarmed strike against the creature. On a hit the wearer of this armor can expend Lay on Hands hitpoints as necrotic damage to the creature.
The Paladin can only expend half of its current Lay on Hand charges on this attack.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
