This guitar uses new innovations in modern technology to provide a diversified and more intense sound profile than your typical guitar. A skilled musician can utilize a device built into the body of the guitar located near where the strumming hand would be; A thin metal bar (some call it the 'whammy' bar) that can cause the sound of your instrument to have various effects behind it such as an echo, grungy distortion, or even an electrified noise, all depending on the rotation and lift of the bar itself.
Caution is advised with this instrument, as it has been discovered that when the 'whammy bar' is in certain positions, the instrument itself (which is modeled after a battle axe, including a combat-ready bladed edge) could emit sound capable of distorting physical material, or inducing electric shock.
While holding this guitar, you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your bard spells, and to any Charisma (Performance) check made while playing the guitar. The bonus is determined by the guitar’s rarity.
This guitar is also a magical weapon, granting +3 to attack and damage rolls.
Thunderstruck - As a Magic Action on your turn you may shred a sick power chord, projecting a 60 foot cone of thundering sound in front of you. Creatures in the cone's area must make a Constitution saving throw (using your Spell Save DC). Roll a Performance check; creatures that fail the saving throw take Thunder damage equal to the result and are knocked back to the far end of the cone. Creatures that succeed are not knocked back and take only half damage. You may use this effect three times, and regain all uses at the end of a Long Rest, or if you spend a Bardic Inspiration to refresh them.
Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
