Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a by a spellcaster)
This small porcelain charm bears the scorched face of a child with her mouth open. A tiny wisp of magical flame flickers within, visible only to you.
While attuned:
-
You can cast Dissonant Whispers or Tasha’s Hideous Laughter without expending a spell slot once per long rest.
-
When you cast a spell that causes a creature to become frightened or charmed, you may roll a d6. On a 5–6, they blurt out a hidden truth chosen by the DM or determined collaboratively.
Flavor Hook: The charm sings when near emotionally volatile creatures or places where truth is dangerous.
