Wondrous Item, rare

This amulet is shaped like a stylized raven in mid-flight, its wings spread wide in an eternal glide. Crafted from obsidian and adorned with silver filigree, the eyes gleam with a shifting hue—sometimes fiery red, sometimes stormy grey. When activated, spectral feathers briefly ripple along the wearer’s form, carried by an unseen wind. Legends say that the first of these amulets was gifted by a murder of ancient, omniscient ravens who watched over battlefields, their cries foretelling the doom of those who dared to stand against their chosen champions.

Echo of the Stormcrow:

As an action, the wearer lets out a piercing, guttural cry reminiscent of a hunting owl or an enraged raven. Each creature of the wearer’s choice within 15 feet that can hear the cry must make a Wisdom saving throw (Save DC). On a failed save, they take 2d10 psychic damage and are frightened for 1 minute.

A frightened creature may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

  • A frightened creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight.
  • The creature can't willingly move closer to the source of its fear.
