Armor (plate), rare (requires attunement by a by a Paladin)

Magical armor: You have a +2 bonus to AC while wearing this armor.

Grace of the Forsaken: You cannot be slain by ordinary means. When you would be reduced to 0 hit points, you may instead drop to 1 hit point which cannot be reduced by any means until the end of your next turn. This feature can be used once per long rest. For 1 minute afterward:

  • Your eyes and the armor glow with pale, holy flame.

  • You gain resistance to fire, necrotic, and radiant damage.

  • Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage.

  • Hostile creatures within 10 feet must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you until the end of their next turn.

Flame of Recompense: When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack and that creature has damaged you since the end of your last turn, you can use your reaction to smite them with purifying fire. The attack deals an extra 2d8 fire damage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). All expended uses recharge after a long rest.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
