Flight Speed: 50 feet; reduced to 30 feet if carrying over 200 pounds, up to a maximum of 400 pounds. You can only climb 20ft each turn on the broom, still 50ft though overall. You can expend a fracture point to have it operate one bracket higher than current for that turn, using it at 4+ you receive an extra 30ft of movement. 

Control Check: Upon activation, roll a d6 to determine the broom's behavior for the next 10 minutes:

1: you have to make an acrobatics check dc 12 to stay on the broom, you'll fall otherwise, the dc increase to 14 if you try to make an attack roll.

2-3: 10 feet slower and acrobatic dc 8 else disadvantage on attack rolls

4-6: broom operates as intended, providing stable flight.

  • Auto-Stabilize: If Zibzib falls unconscious, is knocked off the broom or the 10 minutes is over, the broom automatically hovers in place and gently descends at a rate of 10 feet per round until it reaches the ground, ensuring a safe landing.

This item can be used once every short rest, every time the broom is used after the first use it gains a Fracture point.

Fracture Points: In a pinch you can exceed the capabilities of the item to its potential detriment. The action will always occur but afterwards the user must roll a D20, adding their intelligence modifier. Each level of Fracture Points provides a higher DC to bear.  If the DC is not beaten the item cannot be used until the next number of long rests that the item had fracture points upon breaking (if it had 2 fracture points and broke, it would take 2 long rests). Every long rest the fracture point total of an item will reduce by 1.

  1. With 1 Fracture Point the DC is 5
  2. With 2 Fracture Points the DC is 7
  3. With 3 Fracture Points the DC is 10
  4. With 4 Fracture Points the DC is 13
  5. With 5 Fracture Points the DC is 17
