A deck of playing cards made of a pliable crystalline material. The material is translucent and when it catches the moonlight it has a rainbow sheen on each card. The deck is stored in a small black stone sleeve wrapped in dried dragon flesh.

On a successful hit the wielder may choose to activate the cards Ability "Faro Shuffle." When activated roll a [roll]d6[/roll] and refer to the chart below:

Faro Shuffle:

Roll Damage
1 The card glows orange. This attack will deal double damage.
2 The card glows green. On hit the target is unable to take reactions until the end of its next turn.
3 The card glows purple. On hit, reduces the AC of the target creature by 2. This effect lasts until the end of the targets next turn.
4 The card glows yellow. The target suffers a debilitating strike. One ability chosen at random is reduced by 2 until the end of its next turn.
5 The card glows blue. On hit, reduces the AC of the target creature by 2. This effect lasts until the end of the targets next turn.
6 The card glows red. The target suffers a debilitating strike. One ability chosen at random is reduced by 2 until the end of its next turn.

Whenever a card is thrown there is a chance that it will explode causing massive damage. On a successful hit the DM chooses a card from a normal deck of cards. The wielder of Aces and Eights then tries to guess the card drawn. If they are successful the thrown card explodes dealing 10d8 damage.

If the drawn card is not correctly guessed by the wielder then the card is returned to the deck. The card that was guessed by the player wielding Aces and Eights gets removed from the deck and is set aside.

Once a card has exploded all cards removed through the player failing to guess get returned to the deck to reset the deck. The card that was chosen when exploded gets permanently removed from the deck and the total number of cards in the deck gets reduced by one permanently.
