While Wearing the Deadpan Mask

🧊 Aura of Anti-Irony (30 ft. aura):
All jokes, puns, chaotic abilities, or comedic magic fail automatically. Jolly and his minions lose all resistances and immunities within the aura and cannot use legendary actions or mythic traits.

🧠 Humorless Mind:
You are immune to charm, confusion, laughter, illusions, enchantments, and any effect that causes uncontrollable behavior or changes reality for comedic effect. You cannot be frightened by cosmic entities.

🎯 No Laughing Matter:
As a reaction to being targeted by a spell or ability from a chaotic creature (such as Jolly), you can force them to make a DC 24 Charisma saving throw. On a fail, the ability fizzles into an awkward silence. On a success, the creature must at least explain the joke.

Active Abilities

🪓 Cut the Bit (3/day):
As an action, you speak in absolute monotone, unleashing a 40-ft cone of deadening logic. All creatures in the cone must make a DC 22 Wisdom save or lose access to any feature with the [chaotic], [fey], or [humorous] descriptor for 1 minute.
Affected creatures also can’t laugh, dance, shapeshift, or make puns. They are stunned for 1 round.

🧾 "This Isn't Funny" (1/day):
Once per long rest, you declare reality “unamusing.” For 1 minute:

• All chaotic creatures are silenced.

• Spells with verbal components fail unless cast by creatures of Lawful alignment.

• Jolly becomes tangible and targetable by mundane weapons.

• While in this mode, you suppress all cartoon physics, including hover, teleportation, toonforce, etc.

Cursed Truth

You cannot laugh while wearing the Deadpan Mask. Ever.
If you willingly engage in humor, your soul is banished to the Plane of Tragedy, where stand-up comedians go to bomb eternally.
At the end of each long rest, make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, you become permanently immune to joy, flavor, or music. You are resistant to all illusions, but you lose your bond with any creatures who loved your personality.

Destruction

The Deadpan Mask can only be destroyed by:

1. Making the wearer laugh at Jolly’s final joke.

2. Forcing it to watch a 100% improvised clown opera performed by 12 bards of different alignments… and one mime.
