This magical artifact of a major cult of Asmodeus acts as your pact weapon while you are attuned to it and you may transform it into any form you wish, as per the Improved Pact Weapon invocation for your Pact of the Blade, with the exception that it can be summoned or have its form altered using your bonus action instead of your action. You also gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with the weapon, whatever form you cause it to assume.
Alertness: While attuned to the weapon, you have advantage on initiative rolls and immunity to the surprised condition.
Executioner: While attuned to the weapon, attacks against the target of your Hexblade’s Curse are Critical Hits on a d20 roll of 18-20, instead of 19 or 20.
Eyes of the Devil: While attuned to the weapon, you gain an additional attack option, Chilling Gaze, which you can use as a bonus action on any turn you have taken the Attack action or as part of the same bonus action you use to apply your Hexblade’s Curse. Chilling Gaze is a Ranged Spell Attack with a range of 120 feet which uses your Spell Attack Modifier to hit and on a hit, deals Cold damage equal to 2d10 + your Charisma Modifier and the target’s Speed is reduced by 10 feet.
Soulcleaver: This weapon has the fiendish ability to cleave a shard from the soul of certain creatures slain by it. When you use the weapon to deal the killing blow on the target of your Hexblade's Curse, it absorbs a Soul Shard (assuming the target has a soul). At the GM's discretion, you may also get Soul Shards from other creatures that die near you or that are killed by you or your companions, typically creatures that harbor large amounts of soul energy. Any amount of Soul Shards can be stored within the weapon, and they are used in the following ways:
- Viciousness (1 Shard): When you hit with an attack with the weapon, you expend a Soul Shard and the attack deals an additional 2d6 necrotic damage. If the attack was a critical hit, it deals additional necrotic damage equal to your Warlock level.
- Restore Soul (1+ Shards): As a bonus action, expend any amount of Soul Shards and choose a creature within 60 feet of you. It regains 2d10 hit points per Soul Shard expended.
- Flame of The Pit (varies): You use the weapon to cast one of the following spells using your spellcasting ability, expending a number of Soul Shards equal to one less than the spell's level: Fireball, Fire Shield, Immolation. Furthermore, you can cast the Meteor Swarm spell using the weapon by expending 5 Soul Shards. You can do this once before you must complete a Long Rest in order to do so again.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Advantage: Initiative, Ranged Weapon Attack: Cold, Hexblade Warlock, Versatile, Sap
