This crystalline orb pulses with concentrated aura energy—pure spirit given form. As you hold it, your perception sharpens, your magic deepens, and your presence radiates with invisible force. Forged through balance, the Aura Core binds most strongly to those who wield Wisdom as both weapon and compass.
Properties
-
Spiritual Focus.
You gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your spells and class features that use Wisdom as their spellcasting ability or primary stat. -
Truesight.
While attuned to the Aura Core, you gain truesight out to 30 feet. -
Aura Pulse (1/long rest).
As an action, you may release a surge of forceful aura energy.-
All hostile creatures within 30 feet must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw.
-
On a failed save, they take 6d10 force damage and are stunned until the end of your next turn.
-
On a successful save, they take half damage and are not stunned.
-
This feature recharges after a long rest.
-
-
Last Light.
When you are reduced to 0 hit points, the Aura Core automatically activates before you fall unconscious:-
You are immediately restored to 50 hit points.
-
A wave of spiritual force pushes all creatures within 10 feet of you back 10 feet (no save).
-
The Aura Core shatters into dormancy and cannot be used again for 7 days. During this time, it cannot be attuned to and has no magical properties.
-
Optional Flare: Attunement Effect
When attuned, you hear faint echoing voices of warriors past—gentle, guiding. The orb hums when danger is near and glows softly in the presence of pure intentions or powerful emotions.
DM Notes:
-
This item is ideal for clerics, monks, druids, and wisdom-based rangers, but it can be wielded by any class with a strong Wisdom focus.
-
The Aura Pulse is especially effective for crowd control, offering both AoE damage and a disabling condition.
-
Last Light acts as a legendary-tier version of a "phoenix down" — give it impact, and maybe some narrative weight (e.g., a spiritual echo of Lucario shielding the bearer).
-
You may wish to tie the "inert for 7 days" effect to an in-world quest or recharge ritual if you'd like to build campaign flavor around it.
