Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a While wearing the amulet, the amulet’s rubies flare, dealing 3d10 fire damage (no save) as phoenix fire sears the wearer’s soul. If they survive, the amulet bonds to them.)

This legendary relic is said to contain the soul of an ancient phoenix, bound within a masterfully crafted amulet of enchanted orichalcum and ever-burning embers. Its ruby eyes blaze with inner fire, and faint whispers of forgotten songs echo from it when touched. The amulet thrums with the heartbeat of a dying and reborn god, and its power waxes and wanes like the cycles of the sun.

1. Phoenix’s Rebirth (1/Day):
When you drop to 0 hit points, you instead rise with half your maximum hit points, wreathed in divine flames. All creatures of your choice within 10 feet take 2d10 fire damage (DC 18 Dexterity save for half). This property functions even if you are disintegrated or slain by a death effect.

2. Wings of the Ashen Dawn (3/Day):
As a bonus action, you sprout fiery wings, gaining a fly speed of 60 feet for 1 hour. Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of you takes 1d6 fire damage.

3. Voice of the Last Sun (1/Week):
You may cast Wish, but only to replicate spells of 8th level or lower, or to restore life to a creature that died within the last year (no material cost). Each time you use this ability, roll a d20. On a 1, the amulet’s fire dims, and it loses all powers for 1d4 days.

4. Heartfire Aura:
You are immune to fire damage. As an action, you can unleash a 30-foot-radius explosion of solar flame (8d6 fire damage, DC 18 Dexterity save). Once used, this ability can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Each time the Phoenix’s Resilience is used, the wearer’s skin grows subtly warmer, and faint cracks resembling cooling magma appear on their body. After using this feature three times, the wearer gains vulnerability to cold damage until they complete a long rest, as the phoenix’s fire within them wanes.

Notes: While wearing the amulet, the amulet’s rubies flare, dealing 3d10 fire damage (no save) as phoenix fire sears the wearer’s soul. If they survive, the amulet bonds to them.
