Armor (plate), very rare (requires attunement by a requires attunement by a paladin)

This cursed set of plate armor burns with the wrath of a betrayed god. 


Fire Immunity
You are immune to fire damage from all sources except this armor.


Oathbreaker’s Pain
While wearing this armor, you take 1 fire damage at the end of each of your turns.
Additionally, whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack or physically touches you (such as through grappling or shoving), that creature takes 1 fire damage.


Burn 
As a bonus action, you can ignite the armor for up to 5 rounds. While ignited:

  • You deal an extra 1d8 fire damage on each weapon attack.

  • At the end of each of your turns, you take 2d8 fire damage from the flames.

You can end this effect early as an action.


Immolation
If you break a oath while wearing Apostate Pyre, you are instantly engulfed in divine fire and take 26d6 fire damage. This damage cannot be reduced or avoided by any means.

 

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
