Crafted with high precision to exacting measurements, this magazine holds up to five regular crossbow bolts. Although, the casing of the magazine seems to be fitted to a specific heavy crossbow and may not be used with any regular weaponry. The magazine can be loaded manually, but only with patience and an eye for fine detail. Jamming the munition up may result in lasting damage to its weapon and wielder.

This heavy-duty magazine is engineered to hold and feed 20 crossbow bolts into compatible weapons, such as The Call of the Ancestors. It is designed for sustained combat and tactical adaptability.

[b]Crafting & Upgrading[/b]

You can acquire this magazine in three ways:

• [b]Crafting from scratch:[/b] Requires 60 units of iron, 20 units of coal, and 30 hours of work using [i]smith’s tools[/i].

• [b]Upgrading from a 5-round magazine:[/b] Requires 50 units of iron, 20 units of coal, and 25 hours of work.

• [b]Upgrading from a 10-round magazine:[/b] Requires 35 units of iron, 20 units of coal, and 20 hours of work.

[b]Elemental Treatment[/b]

Once completed, the magazine can be treated to apply elemental effects to each bolt it holds. This treatment requires [b]5 uninterrupted hours[/b] during a long rest, using [i]smith’s tools[/i] or [i]alchemist’s supplies[/i]. Only one elemental effect can be applied per magazine:

• [b]Poison-Tipped[/b]: Each bolt deals an additional 1d4 poison damage. (DC 12 Constitution saving throw or poisoned until end of next turn.)

• [b]Shock-Forged[/b]: Each bolt deals an additional 1d4 lightning damage.

• [b]Frost-Bound[/b]: Each bolt deals an additional 1d4 cold damage.

The elemental effect lasts for 24 hours. A magazine can only be treated once per long rest. Treated magazines require attunement to function.

[b]Reloading[/b]

A used or empty 20-round magazine can be refilled during a short or long rest. Reloading takes [b]30 minutes[/b] of uninterrupted work.
