Weapon (greataxe), legendary (requires attunement by a one of elder blood)

"The aglæca tore slaves apart as if built of straw and reed." -carved on a piece of stone dated to the 2nd Age, author unknown

"We come to you, aglæca, and beseech your aid. Stand with us one last time." -Ingrid Stromkirk, 3028 PDT

A legendary double-sided greataxe that has been wielded by both formidable heroes and bloodthirsty monsters, this weapon has been passed down the Morningstar family for over two thousand years. Some believe it was created by the Dragon Tyrant to spread terror and punish dissenters. Some believe it was used against them, and cursed for its wielder's insolence. The two blades tell different stories, but each is a testament to the formidable nature of the weapon.

Aglæca has the following properties:

You gain a +3 to attack rolls and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. On a hit, it also deals an additional 2d10 Necrotic damage.

You can cast the spell Bane (3rd Level). After you cast the spell, roll a d6. On a roll of 1-5, you can't cast the spell in this way until the next dawn.

While attuned to Aglæca, one of your ability scores (DM's choice) increases by 2, to a maximum of 24.

While attuned to Aglæca, you have disadvantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.

The first time you become attuned to Aglæca, it gives you a quest determined by the DM. You can't use any of the weapon's properties until you complete the quest.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: Damage: Slashing, Damage: Necrotic, one of elder blood, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
