This strange, cube-shaped device made of a combination of wood and iron consists of a lot of small gears and bolts. As an action, you can activate the apparatus by pressing several small buttons around the cube.
When activated, the device emits a magical aura in a 15 foot sphere around it. All creatures and objects within this aura ignore any physical limitations imposed by liquid, moving - and falling - through it as if it was air. The magic does not prevent the liquid from entering the sphere, so creatures and objects in it are still exposed to any other effects from coming into contact with the liquid. For example, non-amphibious creatures are still drowning if they breath water and creatures and objects still take damage when dropping into lava.
You can spend another action to deactivate the device, ending the effect instantaneously.
