This leather-bound map case contains enchanted parchment that reveals hidden paths and secrets. While holding it, you can take a Magic action to activate the map to detect the location of any secret door or trap within 1,000 feet of you. The map doesn't require line of sight—instead, it creates a glowing trail visible only to you that guides you around obstacles, walls, and doors to reach the detected secret or trap (the magic is blocked by 1 foot of stone, dirt, or wood; 1 inch of metal; or a thin sheet of lead). The map can pinpoint the location of only the closest secret door or trap. Once used, this property can't be used again until the next dawn.
