The core of this item is a small brass cube, faintly glowing from the blue crystal within, and 'P.S' engraved along an edge. While holding AETHER, you can cast Find Familiar once each dawn, with the familiar's form forming around the cube. When cast this way, the familiar can take the form of an Anvilwrought Raptor, and its creature type is Construct regardless of form. When it reaches 0 Hit Points, the cube is left unharmed in the space it occupied.
Additionally, as a Magic action while in familiar form, you can speak its command word, causing AETHER to transform into a mechanical form of any CR 1 Beast, as per the Polymorph spell. This form lasts for 1 hour, or until AETHER has no Temporary Hit Points left, and it is no longer your familiar while transformed (though it will still follow your verbal commands). Once it has done so, it cannot do this again until the next dawn.
