Ankh of the Ashen Vigil

This ancient necklace bears the shape of a small, tarnished ankh, its surface etched with barely visible hieroglyphs that whisper of vigilance and loss. It carries the lingering sorrow and protective fury of Ishaq,  the echo of a massacre, woven into its metal like a silent scream.

While wearing this necklace:

• You gain  Advantage on Initiative rolls.
• You and your companions within 30 feet of you can’t be surprised, except when incapacitated.

However, this blessing is shadowed by a curse.

Curse. The Ankh of the Ashen Vigil is cursed; it cannot be removed unless targeted by a remove curse spell or similar magic. On the first round of any combat, you have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks, as your mind is overwhelmed with fearful visions of your companions falling, echoing the horrors you once survived.
