Weapon (greataxe), legendary (requires attunement by a short rest with the axe.)

this axe was once wielded by a devout follower of the god Loviatar, goddess of pain. legend say it was used as a sign of faith to the goddess, its wielder would wound itself before using it to torture a nonbeliever in the name of the goddess.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Hit points lost to this weapon's damage can be regained only through a short or long rest, rather than by regeneration, magic, or any other means.

Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an attack using this magic weapon, you can wound the target. At the start of each of the wounded creature's turns, it takes 1d4 necrotic damage for each time you've wounded it, and it can then make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, ending the effect of all such wounds on itself on a success. Alternatively, the wounded creature, or a creature within 5 feet of it, can use an action to make a DC 15 Wisdom (medicine) check, ending the effect of such wounds on it on a success.

this axe has the ability to inflict damage to its wielder in exchange for greater power, this axe comes with 4 possible ability's to use each only being able to be used once per long rest.

Sinew Slaughter: As a bonus action, take up to 4D6 damage and in turn your next round of attacks this round deal the same amount of D6 of necrotic damage to a target of your attacks.

Blood Bolster: As a bonus action, roll a d3 and Biting Wounds inflicts 5/10/15 damage to you. Gain 1 bonus AC for each 5 damage taken until your next turn.

death throw: as a bonus action, take up 3D8 points of damage and in turn your axe gains the ability to be thrown and hit up to 3 targets of your choice at a range of 20 feet before returning to your hands.

pain transference: once you have dealt a total of 100 points of damage to yourself over the course of using the axes abilities then you gain one use of the spell power word pain.

Curse. This weapon is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. Until the curse is broken with remove curse or similar magic, you are unwilling to part with the weapon, keeping it within reach at all times. In addition, you have disadvantage on attack rolls made with weapons other than this one.

Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll using this weapon, the weapon bends or flies to hit you in the back. Make a new attack roll with advantage against your own AC. If the result is a hit, you take damage as if you had attacked yourself

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: short rest with the axe., Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
