Arcane Medallion Beads of the Gentle Hand

This soft strand of pale rose and sky-blue beads exudes a calming warmth when held. The central medallion depicts an open hand extended in peace, gently petting the muzzle of a great beast with lowered eyes. The faint scent of lavender and meadow grass clings to the beads.

As an action, you can activate these beads by touching a creature and speaking soothing words. For the next 1 minute, the target creature becomes calmed, as if under the effects of a calm emotions spell, though this effect only works on beast and other non-sapient creatures of an intelligence score of 10 or lower.

While calmed in this way, the creature will not act aggressively, will not take hostile actions, and may allow you to approach, interact with, or guide it, at the DM’s discretion. If the creature is attacked or harmed, the effect ends immediately.
