This strand of pale opal and feather-gray beads emits a faint shimmer, as if catching light that isn't there. The central medallion depicts a barefoot traveler walking across a pond, their steps leaving no ripples.
As a bonus action, you can activate the beads. For the next 10 minutes, your steps become unnaturally light and quiet:
-
You ignore difficult terrain caused by natural ground (such as mud, sand, or underbrush).
-
You have advantage on Stealth checks made to move silently.
-
You leave behind no tracks or footprints, unless you choose to.
In addition, creatures have disadvantage on Perception checks to hear your movement during this time.
Once expended, the beads retain their appearance but lose all magical properties. Though no longer enchanted, these necklaces are often kept as keepsakes, reminders of the grand parades, arcane carnivals, or festival spectacles where they were earned, caught, or awarded. A nonmagical set of expended Beads of Light Step is typically worth around 5 silver pieces.
Notes: Buff, Movement, Utility, Consumable, Necklace, Jewelry, Negates Difficult Terrain
