This map shows the places the owner has experienced. To become the rightfull owner of the map a drop of your blood must be applied to a square inch in the bottom right corner of the Dark brown leather, forming a magical bond between owner and map.
Once the owner has bonded with the map it creates a rough map of the country the owner is in. Furthermore the owner can take a minute and focus on a city the owner has visited. The city then becomes the focus of the map and a rough image of the city takes the place of the country. As the owner experiences more of the land the cities visited will appear on it. Also the cities becomes more detailed.
This map can only show an approximation of the surroundings that the owner can’t see. Thus, the map fills in what the owner doesn’t know in accordence with the surrounding landscape. For instance if the owner know about a mountain in a dessert it will be shown on the map but caves in the mountain worn’t be untill the owner learns of Them. Furthermore this map can’t show areas that are protected against skrying or other such means of detection. It will in stead fill in the area in accordance with the surrounding landscape.
If the owner dies or relinquishes ownership by removing the blood with prestidigitation, the map will continue to show the map as it was when the bond was broken, until a new owner claims it.
