A dark red stone amulet that always appears to be wet, granted to a warlock who vows subservience to a fathomless one .
While a Warlock wears this amulet your Fathomless patron grants you the following abilities:
Your charisma score increases to 17, you do not receive any other bonuses to this score that would make it exceed 17.
Once a day you can cast the spell Bigby's Hand from the amulet, the hand appears as a giant tentacle and uses all the properties of the spell cast at 5th level. This recharges each dawn.
While attuned to this amulet, the wearer can hear faint, incomprehensible whispers from the fathomless depths. These whispers shield the mind from lesser intrusions. The wearer has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Once per long rest, when the wearer succeeds on a Wisdom or Charisma saving throw, they can choose to project the whispers outward. One creature of their choice within 30 feet that can hear them must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of its next turn.
The amulet has an AC of 15 and 25 HP
* CURSED ITEM *
Possessive Bond: If the amulet is removed or destroyed while attuned, the wearer immediately takes 6d6 psychic damage as a tendril of their mind is ripped away, and must succeed on a DC 17 Charisma saving throw or be dominated (as Dominate Person) by their patron for 1 minute. The wearer can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns.
Notes: Ritual Steps: Submersion: The wearer must fully submerge themselves in the water, holding the amulet tightly against their chest. The amulet grows heavier as it drinks in the surrounding water, pulling the wearer downward unnaturally. The Vow: While underwater, the wearer must speak a vow of subservience in a language they do not know (the words form unbidden in their mind). Failing to speak the vow correctly breaks the ritual, requiring it to be attempted again after 24 hours. The Breathless Moment: Upon speaking the vow, the wearer is compelled to release all air from their lungs and remain underwater for 6 minutes. During this time, they cannot regain breath or surface; the amulet’s magic prevents both drowning and voluntary escape. The Marking: After exactly 1 minute, a dark, bioluminescent mark shaped like a swirling tentacle appears somewhere on the wearer’s body. This mark is permanent and cannot be removed by dispel magic or similar effects.
