Armor (plate), very rare (requires attunement by a Fighter, Paladin or Cleric)

This suit of armor is reinforced with adamantine, one of the hardest substances in existence. While you’re wearing it, any Critical Hit against you becomes a normal hit.

Additionally the armor exudes an aura of impending danger to any hostile creature that can see the wearer. While any affected creature within 10 feet of the wearer makes an Attack Roll against a creature other than the wearer they must subtract 1d4 from the Attack Roll. Creatures immune to the Frightened or Charmed conditions are also immune to this effect.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
