Weapon (morningstar), legendary

As-Saif al-Muntaqim is believed to have been wielded by an ancient holy warrior who vanished into the desert after the final crusade. It was buried in a hidden oasis, uncovered only when the world needed it again. The weapon does not sing, it chants. Its holiness is not loud, but weighty, like the heavy silence before a storm of divine reckoning.

This is not a weapon of conquest, it is a weapon of consequence.

Blessings of the Avenger

Radiant Retribution

When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can deal an additional 2d6 radiant damage against any creature that has targeted a creature other than you since the start of your last turn.

This reflects Allah's justice brought down upon aggressors, not just for your sake—but for the innocent.

Verse of Judgment (3 charges, regains 1d3 daily at dawn)

As a bonus action, you may speak a verse of divine justice aloud (no verbal component needed if you are silenced). Until the end of your next turn, your attacks with this weapon deal maximum radiant damage on a hit, and your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

You become an instrument of swift, divine punishment. Your voice becomes the echo of truth.

Sanctified Will

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened while wielding this weapon.

Your unwavering faith shields your mind from deception and fear.

Al-Muntaqim’s Verdict (Once per long rest)

When a creature marked by your Vow of Enmity is reduced to 0 hit points by this weapon, you may immediately make a Charisma (Religion) check (DC 15) as a free action.

  • On a success, the spirit of the fallen is judged. If it was evil-aligned, a spectral chain of radiant light bursts from your weapon and lashes another enemy within 30 feet, dealing 4d10 radiant damage and restraining them until the end of your next turn.

  • On a failure, nothing happens, but the weapon emits a low takbir ("Allahu Akbar") in a whisper only you can hear.

Proficiency with a Morningstar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
