The Demon Chains are chains forged by a duegar blacksmith in Avernus for Zariel. But he made a weaker version and gave it to Zariel. He kept the other. The chains are a 20ft long chain with a glaive blade on the end.
Attack Properties: Demon Chains have a 3+ to attack rolls. They deal 2d8 Piercing damage on a hit plus 4d8 necrotic or fire damage (you choose when you attack), they reach 20ft.
Hurl Chain: You hurl the chain 60ft at an enemy. They must make a Dexterity check or take 1d8 piercing damage plus 1d8 fire or necrotic damage. If the enemy is large or smaller they get pulled up to 30ft toward you.
Demon‘s Fury: Once per long rest you can use the chains to shoot the fireball spell at level five. Your spellcasting ability is dexterity or strength.
Binding Banishment: You can take an action to chain up an enemy with chains created by your chains that are made of fire. You then banish them to a random plane.
Curse: If you use the chains “Binding Banishment” property there is a 30% chance a Balor will appear and try to kill you. If you die you get teleported to Avernus where you become a chain devil.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
