Armor Breaker
This segmented greatsword hums with brutal potential. Forged to crush defenses, it is wielded by warriors who seek to break the strongest of foes—not just defeat them.
📌 Weapon Stats:
-
Type: Melee weapon (heavy, two-handed)
-
Damage: 2d6 slashing
-
Properties: Heavy, Two-Handed, Special
🔧 Special Features:
1. Armor Shred (1/turn until the fight is over, then the character must take a long rest to use this feature again)
Once per turn, when you hit a creature wearing non-magical armor or with natural armor (AC not derived from Dexterity or magical sources), you may attempt to reduce its defenses.
-
The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 14) or suffer -1 AC until the start of its next turn.
-
This does not stack — it refreshes each turn.
-
Does not work on magically enhanced armor.
2. Segmented Strike (3/Long Rest)
As a bonus action, you may charge the weapon’s segmented core. On your next hit this turn:
-
The weapon deals an extra 4d8 slashing damage, and
-
The attack ignores resistance to slashing damage.
3. Crushing Cleave
When you score a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be Slowed until the end of its next turn (as per the slow spell’s movement penalty only — speed is halved, no action limitations).
🛡️ Notable Limitations:
-
The Armor Breaker’s effects only function against armored or natural-armor creatures.
-
Has no magical bonus to hit or damage (though you may grant a +1 version at higher tiers).
-
Can’t damage magical armor or equipment.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
