This magic item allows the wearer to be under the effect of the enhance ability spell. All effects of this spell are renewed after a short or long rest such as the temporary hit points for Bear's Endurance, though taking off the amulet and then putting it back on does NOT have the same effect. Some of these have different traits than those listed in the spell such as the amulet of spider legs which grants the wearer the spider climb feature and a climbing speed equal to their walking speed, though these special amulets are classified as very rare. Special amulets will also sometimes have detrimental properties attached to them such as sunlight sensitivity. These amulets can appear as bracelets, necklaces, or essentially anything like that, but if it is a necklace it is magical so you can make it not go flying all over the place when you move if that would bother you.
