Weapon (pistol), rare (requires attunement)
This odd weapon(?) of unknown origins was discovered beneath the rubbles of an ancient temple. Its outer layer is made up of a tough transparent shell, which you can see right through and observe the grotesque parts of what looks to be organs belonging to an unidentified creature. When the 'trigger' is pulled, the inner parts move around and realign like a mechanism, before spitting out an acidic substance from the front. Occasionally, you can observe the inner parts compress and contract like a breathing lung or beating heart.
- You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and you are proficient with this pistol while you're attuned to it.
- This weapon deals Acid damage instead of Piercing, requires no ammunition, and ignores the Loading property.
- After a creature is hit by this weapon 3 times, they must make a DC 16 constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d6 Poison damage and has the Poisoned condition for 1 minute. At the end of each of its turns until the poisoned condition ends, the target takes 1d6 Poison damage and then makes a DC 16 constitution saving throw. On a successful save, the Poisoned condition ends.
Proficiency with a Pistol allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Acid, Ignore Weapon Property: Loading, Ignore Weapon Property: Ammunition, Damage, Combat, Loading, Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Vex
