Subtle runes etched inside the pauldrons offer resistance against mind-altering magic. While wearing this armor, you have Advantage on saving throws against the Charmed and Frightened conditions.

In addition, while you wear this armor, you can use it to cast Sanctuary on an ally within 30 ft, requiring no spell components and concentration. Once this property is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
