Weapon (greataxe), very rare

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Forged in the deep halls of Thuldûm Rock, Aetherbite was the masterpiece of the artificer Brundrak Emberline, who discovered how to channel volatile Aether Grains into mechanical weaponry. The double-headed axe contains a hinged brass infusion chamber mounted to its haft, allowing aether grains to be loaded and activated. Once sealed, five glowstones illuminate, each representing a single charge.

When empowered:

  • The spike at the haft’s crown can be fired forward in a ray of fire unleashing elemental fury (A Fiery ray. You can fire at one target within a range fo 90ft. Make a ranged spell attack to see if you hit with strength as  modifier. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 Fire damage). Consume 1 charge per shot. Note on firing the weapon the spike emits and ear splitting roar like that of a Dwarven Warhorn.

  • The twin blades resonate with raw energy, sharpening beyond steel, cleaving through magic defenses and sinew alike add 2d 6 damage to your attack. When activated allows one strike and consumes 1 grain of Aether.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
