The armor is golden shining with a dim radiance. The breast plate is emblazoned with a golden dragon perched on the sun. Its helmet is shaped like the head of a gold dragon. Any critical hit becomes a normal hit against the wearer. The armor is also enchanted to give resistance to fire magic and non-magical weapons.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
