This folded hide is a treated section of skin taken from an aberrant creature, likely a Dolgaunt or Gibbering Mouther, then alchemically hardened by cultists of the Daelkyr. It pulses faintly with latent psionic energy.

Once attuned, the user can unfurl and wrap it around their torso (over or under armor). When worn:

Resistance to psychic damage.

Once per long rest, the wearer can cast detect thoughts (DC 13) without expending a spell slot.

The flesh wrap is slightly sentient. While attuned, the wearer has a faint sense of being watched or whispered to, particularly when alone or in magical darkness.
