This gleaming silver-and-gold shield seems to drink in ambient light and return it as a soft radiance, like the first light of dawn reflecting on moonlit snow. Etched along its rim are constellations sacred to the Eladrin, and the faint image of a waxing crescent lies at its center.
While wielding this shield, you gain a +2 bonus to AC. While wielding this shield, you also have disadvantage on saving throws against the blinded condition.
Moonshadow Flare (proficiency bonus/long rest). The shield is imbued with a pulse of lunar radiance interwoven with shadow. When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you hits a creature, you can use your reaction to unleash this power. The attacker must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = spell save DC):
- On a failed save: The creature is blinded until the end of its next turn and takes radiant damage equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1).
-
On a successful save: The creature’s next attack before the end of its next turn is made at disadvantage.
The spell’s radiant damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8 + WIS), 11th level (3d8 + WIS), and 17th level (4d8 + WIS).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Cleric or a good-aligned creature
