Wondrous Item, varies (requires attunement by a Cleric or Paladin)

The ancient pendant you found has finally been restored, and become something more. The medal hums with latent divine energy, and can be used to channel your own; the Amulet of Balance can be used as a focus for your cleric spells. Additionally, new properties will continue to reveal themselves as the amulet grows in power, bolstered by your work as a herald of divine balance, detailed later on the item's description.

Attuning to the Amulet of Balance allows you to more easily see the Threads of Balance between you and other creatures, showing as faint, nearly transparent strands when the need is mild, gradually progressing. A creature who is disrupting balance or is out of balance will have much thicker braids of light, and the pendant itself thrums and pulls itself towards these people or places when nearby. Following these Threads and restoring balance where they arise will grant you a stack of Equilibrium, the energy needed to continue growing the Amulet of Balance's power.

Currently, the Amulet of Balance is in a Slumbering state,  but it will eventually reach the Stirring, Wakened and Ascendant states. The Amulet of Balance will advance in rank once you have collected three stacks of Equilibrium per rank.

Slumbering

The Amulet of Balance confers a +1 bonus to your spell attacks and spell save DC. Additionally, when rolling initiative, you can choose to swap your initiative with that of a friendly creature who rolled lower than you.

Stirring (3 stacks of Equilibrium)

The Amulet has the properties of its Slumbering state, and gains the following properties: When another creature you can see within 60 feet fails a saving throw, you can use your reaction to enable that creature to reroll the saving throw, potentially turning a failure into a success. The creature must use the new roll. Once you use this property, you cannot use it again until the next dawn.

Wakened (6 stacks of Equilibrium)

The Amulet of Balance has the properties from its Slumbering and Stirring states, as well as giving a +2 bonus to your spell attacks and spell save DC.

Also, you can now use your Channel Divinity class feature twice per long rest. You also become immune to the Charmed and Frightened conditions.

Finally, you can cast the Zone of Truth and Prayer of Healing spells from the Amulet. Once you use this property, you cannot use it again until the next dawn.

Ascendant (9 stacks of Equilibrium)

The Amulet of Balance has awakened in full, and reached the pinnacle of its power. It has the properties of the Slumbering, Stirring, and Wakened states, and also grants a +3 bonus to your spell attacks and spell save DC.

Whenever a creature within 30 feet of you is reduced to 0 hitpoints, you can use a reaction to cause that creature to instantly teleport to an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. The creature falls unconscious as normal. You can use this property a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and regain all expended uses at dawn.

As an action, choose any number of creatures within 30 feet of you. For 1 minute, hostile creatures you select cannot benefit from advantage, and friendly creatures you select cannot suffer from disadvantage. You can use this feature once per dawn.

You can cast the Antipathy/Sympathy spell from the Amulet once, regaining expended uses at dawn.

You can expend every stack of Equilibrium you've collected in order to fully heal any number of creatures you can see. Until the end of your next turn, creatures healed in this way gain immunity to all damage, as well as immunity to the Grappled, Restrained, Paralyzed, Petrified, Charmed, and Frightened conditions. Additionally, the targeted creatures cannot have their movement speed or hit point maximum reduced in any way. Unconscious creatures who receive this healing instantly stand up without using movement speed. Using this feature returns the Amulet of Balance to its Slumbering state, and it can never advance beyond that rank.
