Favoured by bards who blend performance and sorcery, the Arcanist’s Luteblade carries melodies that strengthen magic as surely as they cut through armour. To hear its song is to know that neither music nor magic will falter in battle.
You can use the Arcanist’s Luteblade as a spellcasting focus for your spells while holding it. In addition, you gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your spells.
You use your choice of your Strength or Charisma modifier for the attack and damage rolls, which deals Slashing damage instead of Bludgeoning damage. You must use the same modifier for both rolls.
This reinforced lute is suitable for use as a handheld Musical Instrument or for bashing when the crowd turns sour. Its strings are finely braided wire that run along a sturdy metal neck.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
