This blackened plate bears the scorched sigil of a
long-fallen knightly order, its surface etched with
burning vows that never cool. A steady heat
radiates from within, calm, unyielding, and grim.
It offers power through pain, and strength
through sacrifice.
While wearing this +3 plate armor, you are
immune to fire and cold damage and cannot be
frightened. However, you can only regain hit
points through your own spells or class features.
Healing from other sources—including potions
and magic cast by other creatures—has no effect
on you, though it can still stabilize you if you’re at
0 hit points.
The Aegis accepts vitality in exchange for might.
You may choose to spend 5 hit points to gain one
of the following benefits:
— Roll your next weapon attack with advantage.
— Add an additional weapon damage die to the
damage roll of a successful attack. You can use
this feature multiple times per turn, but only
once per attack.
The armor’s searing enchantments leave faint
black scars across your skin wherever blood is
offered, marks that fade a few hours later.
