The Winter Queen forged pendants such as these for her most trusted knights and envoys. To wear one is to carry a fragment of her eternal frost, a sign of fealty but also a dangerous temptation—for the pendant whispers with the Queen’s will in dreams, urging loyalty to her cause.
Properties
While attuned to the Silver Pendant of the Winter Queen:
1. Queen’s Frost.
-
You gain resistance to cold damage.
-
Your spells that deal cold damage ignore resistance to cold.
2. Winter’s Step.
-
As a bonus action, you can wreathe yourself in icy glamour, vanishing in a swirl of snow.
-
You teleport up to 30 feet to a space you can see.
-
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
3. Voice of the Queen.
-
While in the Feywild, you have advantage on Charisma checks when dealing with winter or cold-aligned Fey creatures.
-
However, creatures aligned with summer or fire-based Fey view you with suspicion and hostility (disadvantage on Charisma checks with them).
4. Frozen Embrace (1/Day).
-
As an action, you may call upon the Queen’s power to unleash a cone of binding frost (30 ft.).
-
Each creature in the area must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = your spell save DC). On a failed save, the creature takes 6d8 cold damage and is restrained in ice for 1 minute. On a success, the creature takes half damage and is not restrained.
-
A restrained creature can use its action to make a Strength check (DC = your spell save DC) to break free.
Notes: (requires attunement by a spellcaster or fey-touched creature)
