This finely made longsword is sheathed in a silver-chased scabbard. The sword is inscribed with the name "Zephyr", and it's hilt is worked in the shape of a bird of prey with outspread wings. While attuned to this item you have a bonus +1 attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. You also gain a +2 bonus to initiative rolls. During a short or long rest the sword gently shifts it's position so that the blade points to the West. As an action, you can lunge up to 20 feet towards a creature you can see. Spectral wings erupt from your back as you sail through the air. If you are within 5 feet of the target creature after your lunge, you can follow up with a melee attack dealing an extra 1d8 of Force Damage. Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
When Zephyr awakens it becomes a +2 Longsword, adds 10 feet to it's wealders movement speed and an extra 1d8 of force damage when using the lunge attack.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
