Weapon (longbow), very rare

Arrows of Deadly Impact are created to combat specific creature types, similar to arrows of slaying. However, these items have more chaotic properties and are unique by the type of creature they effect.  Aquatic arrows of deadly impact  are crafted from deep-blue driftwood and fletched with shimmering scales. The tips gleam with silvery coral-metal, etched with abyssal runes and wound in seaweed-like wire.

  • Function: These +2 magical arrows are enchanted to ignore all resistances and immunities of aquatic creatures.
  • Special Trait: Against the following sea creatures — Kraken, Sea Hags, Marrows, and Aboleths — each arrow automatically crits on a hit and forces the creature to make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be banished to the deep void, effectively removed from combat for 1 minute.  On a critical DC failure (modified 7 or less on the roll) the target will be automatically reduced to 0 hit points instead.
  • Glow: They faintly glisten with a violet sheen when near seawater.

Once the Arrow of Deadly Impact causes damage it becomes a mundane arrow.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
