Description:
Ace carries a small, metal box containing 20 magically infused cards, each with a unique effect. The magic works only when a card is drawn and thrown. Each card activates exactly where it lands.
Mechanics

Action: Ace can draw a card as a Magic action and throw it.

Range: Up to 30 ft from Ace.

Effect Area: Varies per card (see effects below).

Duration: Instant effects; buffs/debuffs last as described; conjured creatures/illusions last until the end of the effect or as specified.

Control: For creature illusions or summoned animals, Ace can take a Magic action to move them up to 30 ft from their card, as long as he can see them and is within 120 ft.

Interaction:

Physical contact reveals illusions or summoned creatures are harmless and intangible.

A successful Investigation check (DC 15) can reveal illusions.

Once a card is moved or the effect ends, it cannot be reused until re-infused by Ace.

Effects of the 20 Cards

Firecracker – Fireball (3rd level), 10-ft radius, 3d6 fire damage.

Smoke Puff – Fog Cloud, 20-ft radius of dense smoke, obscures vision.

Popcorn Shower – Tasha’s Hideous Laughter + Conjure Minor Object, popcorn machine appears, showers popcorn on enemies, each must succeed a Wisdom save or laugh hysterically (advantage on distraction).

Mini Hound – Conjure Animals (Tiny Hound), tiny hound appears and attacks immediately.

Grease Slip – Grease, 5-ft area becomes slippery, enemies must Dexterity save or fall.

Lucky Strike – Guidance + Infused Weapon/Attack Buff, allies within 10 ft get +1 on next attack or damage.

Spark Tap – Shocking Grasp, 10-ft electrical spark hits metallic enemies/objects.

Featherfall – Feather Fall, creatures in 10-ft radius fall gently, no falling damage.

Tiny Cage – Hold Person, creature within 5 ft is paralyzed for 1 round.

Smoke Mirror – Mirror Image, 5-ft radius illusory duplicates to distract attacks.

Flashbang – Blindness/Deafness, enemies in 10-ft radius must make Con save or be blinded for 1 round.

Sticky Fingers – Web, 10-ft radius becomes sticky, slows movement (Dex save).

Pocket Swap – Misty Step (Creative Use), two objects within 10 ft swap positions magically.

Rope Reel – Mage Hand, magical rope appears, can grab or secure objects/enemies.

Confetti Burst – Color Spray, 15-ft radius of colorful lights, enemies must make Wisdom save or be confused 1 round.

Phantom Step – Minor Illusion, mini illusory double distracts enemies for 1 round.

Key Snap – Knock, opens or destroys a lock within 10 ft magically.

Healing Sip – Cure Wounds (1st level), heals 1d8 HP for creature(s) within 5 ft.

Whistle Call – Conjure Animals, animal appears and distracts enemies for 1 round.

Piggo-Meto – Conjure Animal, a confused pig appears, does nothing useful, purely for comic chaos. Ace shrugs: “Oops… wrong card.”
