Weapon (longsword/kopis), legendary (scales by tier) • requires attunement via the Trial of the Red Field
Counts as a longsword (1d8 slashing, versatile 1d10). This curved bronze-black kopis drinks light along its inner edge; faint runes spell the names of Phobos and Deimos.
Attunement: Trial of the Red Field (hard)
Spend 4 hours under open sky on a training ground or battlefield with an offering of 100 gp in oil/bronze. Make all four checks; fail 2+ and you don’t attune (try again after a long rest with a new offering or after a MET service).

The Fury Engine (all tiers)
You have Fury dice you gain at the start of each combat and whenever you drop a hostile creature to 0 HP (1 die, up to your cap). Spend Fury for features below; you regain all spent Fury on a short rest.
-
Fury cap: 2 (Dormant), 3 (Awakened), 5 (Exalted)
-
Fury die: d6 (Dormant) → d8 (Awakened) → d10 (Exalted)
Deimos Strike (1/turn, on hit): Spend 1–3 Fury to add that many Fury dice to the damage; if the target is frightened, roll one extra Fury die (free).
Tiers & rarity
Tier I — Dormant (Unproven)
Rarity: Rare; +1 weapon; Fury cap 2, Fury die d6
-
Phobos Mark (free, 1/turn): When you hit a creature, you can mark it until the start of your next turn. While marked, it has disadvantage on attack rolls not including you.
-
War-Cry (bonus, 1/SR): Allies of your choice within 10 ft gain temp HP = your PB and may move up to 10 ft without provoking OAs.
-
Bloodstep (bonus, 1/SR): Teleport 10 ft to a space adjacent to a creature you’ve damaged this turn; the space you left becomes difficult terrain until your next turn.
-
Parry of Bronze (reaction, 1/SR): Reduce damage from a melee attack by 1d6 + your PB.
Tier II — Awakened (Proven)
Rarity: Very Rare; +2 weapon; Fury cap 3, Fury die d8
-
Phobos Mark → Fray: When you mark a creature, it must succeed a WIS 13 save or be frightened of you until the start of your next turn.
-
War-Cry: radius 15 ft, temp HP = PB + your STR/DEX mod (min +1), and marked allies can also Stand from prone without extra cost.
-
Bloodstep: 20 ft; the line you crossed becomes difficult terrain for others until your next turn.
-
Parry of Iron: reduce by 1d8 + PB; if reduced to 0, you may make one weapon attack against the attacker.
Tier III — Exalted (Skyborn Champion)
Rarity: Legendary; +3 weapon; Fury cap 5, Fury die d10
-
Aura of Phobos (passive): Enemies that start their turn within 10 ft of you make a WIS 15 save or become frightened of you until the end of their turn. A creature that succeeds is immune to the aura for 24h.
-
War-Cry of Deimos (bonus, 1/SR): 20-ft radius; allies gain temp HP = 2×PB, may move up to 15 ft without provoking, and have advantage on their next attack this round.
-
Warstride (Bloodstep+): 30 ft; after you arrive, you may spend 1 Fury to deal your Fury die in slashing to one adjacent creature (no action).
-
Parry of Adamant: reduce by 1d10 + PB; on reduce-to-0 you may riposte (as above) and gain 1 Fury (cap still applies).
