Amulet of Chaos Magic

This amulet acts as a magical vacuum that absorbs the magical energies of spells targeting its wielder, breaks them down into their basic primordial form, and recycles them into random, chaotic effects that resemble the surges of a Wild Magic sorcerer. It takes the appearance of an inky black smooth gemstone with moving, swirling, ethereal colors inside, and is surrounded by an elaborate golden trim.

This amulet contains 3 charges which refill at dawn each day. When the user is targeted by a spell, they may choose to expend a charge from this amulet as a reaction and replace the effect the spell would have on them with a random effect rolled on the sorcerer’s Wild Magic table. For example, a creature targeted with a Power Word Kill spell might use their reaction to spend a charge and instead cast Fireball centered on themselves.
