🛠️ Appearance

A slim obsidian-colored microchip with red data veins that pulse like a heartbeat. When slotted into a droid, its servos lock into a combat stance and its optics flicker with predictive targeting glyphs.

✨ Effects

The droid’s combat subroutines activate, granting the following:

Bonus Actions

Suppressing Fire: As a bonus action, the droid can force one creature within 30 ft. to make a DC 15 Wisdom save. On a fail, the target has disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of the droid’s next turn.

Overclocked Strike : The droid can make one additional weapon attack as a bonus action.

Protective Advance: The droid moves up to 10 ft. toward its owner and grants them +2 AC until the start of its next turn.

Reactions

Intercept: When a creature targets the droid’s owner with an attack, the droid can use its reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack.

Counterfire: When a creature within 30 ft. makes a ranged attack against the droid or its owner, the droid can fire back, making a single ranged weapon attack in response.

Guardian Protocol: When its owner is reduced to 0 HP, the droid can use its reaction to move adjacent and immediately stabilize them (does not consume an action or item).
